Home Town
We moved to Droitwich, Worcestershire in 1965 as my farther had the offer of a better job. I was brought up as a catholic but i do not believe in all that bullshit.

Schools
My 1st school was St Nicholas primary and when that closed i moved to St Joseph primary. I moved from there to Westacre middle school and finally finished at Droitwich High School. ~

Sports & Hobbies
My sport was swimming, By the time i was 14 i was very close in more than 1 stroke to olympic qualifying times, may be i should of kept it up but i was fed up of the training. I was part of a very good swiming club, The Droitwich Dolphins and my instructor went on to become the chairman of the A.S.A (armature swimming assosiation)
When i left the swimming club i joined the army cadets and loved it, we went to Germany and got to fire 303 rifles. I also had my first taste of the drums there as i played in the cadet marching band, we used to play at fetes and remembrance parades in the town.

Work
When i left school i joined the army. I did six years and during this time i complete a United nations tour of Cyprus and spent time in Germany & Denmark. My regiment was the Royal Corps of Transport. I was a marksman with my personal weapon the S.L.R (self loading rifle) and was in the United Nations Shooting team during my tour of Cyprus representing the British contingent. My favorite times in the army where Cyprus and i also spent a month skiing in Bavaria. I left in June 1986 and started work in civy street. During the next few years i worked for numerous companies within the transport trade and by 1992 i was running my own removal company. By chance i managed to secure a large amount of Spanish removals so in the year 2000 i moved to Javea with my Family.

Musical history

Except for my experience in the cadet marching band, I really only started playing the drums when i was 38. Debbie bought me a drum kit for my birthday. I had a head start though as my brother in law Steve Allen was a great drummer and he came down to Spain on holiday and gave me a weeks crash course on the basics of drumming. I also had a few lessons of my mate Jeff Britton, once a drummer with Wings & Manfred Mans Earthband.

I started a band with a few friends in 2002 called the Warehouse Rock. Then became a drummer with a few other bands including the Quadrophonics doing a few gigs in the Javea area. Before Rubber soul, I joined a band called The Midnight Ramblers and we started to gig quite often. Unfortunately the band split as we had a selfish and unreliable Guitarist. Since i have joined Rubber Soul i have not looked back. We are now a very busy band competing for work with some of the best bands on the coast and i don't think i will ever get tired of the Beatles music.

At the Moment for the Future Paul, Bernie and I are working on a classic rock band, as an occasional alternative the Beatles stuff. We put the odd rock son in at the end of our gigs as a bit of self indulgence but we are not going to gig as a rock band until we have it right.
